First event of the newly initiated "Lecture Series" was a success.

Dr. Robert Pape from University of Chicago gave a lecture entitled "Cutting the Fuse: The Explosion of Global Suicide Terrorism and How to Stop It" to more than a hundred people at Hilton University of Houston Hotel on January 27, 2011. Following his lecture, Dr. Pape signed his last book with the same title.

University of Houston Political Science Department was the co-organizer of the event.
